As a company, we feel that it is our duty “to do good and to share what we have”. We define our responsibility to our Community as more than providing quality homes; we are responsible for giving back, for doing the right thing for the right reasons and to better the lives of others. We also are committed to protecting the environment by implementing green building practices.
For the 2021 TCBC community give back project, we had the opportunity to partner with Church of the Redeemer in Gaithersburg, MD. Do to COVID and other related factors we did not do our typical hands on project. Instead, we partnered with Church of the Redeemer to handout food to those in need. This effort was blessed to help feed over 200,000 families.
For the 2020 TCBC community give back project, we had the opportunity to partner with the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless (MCCH) through the Home Builders Care Foundation of the Maryland Home Building Industry Association (MBIA).
MCCH provides permanent & supportive housing for homeless families. A property in their program was in need of renovation to repair the damage caused by a plumbing leak and to better use the available space. The renovation was necessary in order to restore the house & make it move-in ready. TCBC managed the redesign of the damaged areas to better use the space, to repair the water damage, and update the kitchen. Special thanks to USA Cabinets and Andy Braden Floors for the work on the project.
