United Service Human Rights is a 501 (c (3) Nonprofit Organization Community Resource Center. We offer services-employment, government assistance, legal services, and financial coaching.

Comprehensive Services Personalized for You

  • Adult Citizenship Education Programs

Our programs are customized for your success and offer extensive English language and Civics guidelines. Michael Liu, our Program Director, states, “Over a thousand residents have confidently completed their naturalization interviews with our guidance.”

Step confidently through the application process with our expert team. We make your citizenship journey clear and achievable through our support.

  • What We Provide

  • Application assistance for U.S. Citizenship from recognized officials of the Department of Justice or qualified attorneys.
  • Exclusions for medical disabilities in Civic and English, as well as fee waivers for the qualified candidates, are all offered.
  • A 40-hour citizenship instructions course over a 9 to to 12-week cycle, offering a solid foundation for obtaining U.S. citizenship

We assist you in laying a better financial foundation, offering one-on-one financial coaching and information sessions about banking, budgeting, savings, loans, and fair housing.

Refugee Support Services

United Service Human Rights welcomes and supports refugees in their integration process. Our Reception & Placement program ensures newly arrived refugees receive:

  • Furniture
  • Basic Needs
  • Cultural Orientation
  • Temporary Cash Assistance
  • Enrollment into public schools and benefits.

Long-term support services extend up to 5 years after arrival, providing job readiness training, recertification support, cultural adjustment, counseling, and assistance for elderly refugees and those with disabilities.

Abdirazak Qasim is a remarkable leader and advocate for education who currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer. Qasim has taken on significant roles throughout his career, from managing financial records at United Service Human Rights to leading educational initiatives at Texas American Eagle High School. These roles showcase his versatile expertise.

Qasim’s academic journey includes earning a High School diploma / Advance in Finance Certificate and an IT associate degree. Furthermore, he possesses proficiency in several languages, such as English, Urdu, Somali, Hindi, and Punjabi. This linguistic talent reflects his dedication to effective communication within various communities.
